History, legend and tradition converge when the U.S. Open Championship returns for a second time to Pinehurst No.2 in 2005. The first Open hosted by Pinehurst No.2 in 1999 was a championship many recall as one of the most memorable; few people will ever forget Payne Stewart’s 15 foot putt on the 18th hole of the final round to win the Open.
