Michael Miller

Michael has specialized in golf course landscape paintings as well as still life, traditional landscapes. He believes his golf landcapes are unique in this genre as he is the only artist who paints both “historical” and contemporary golf settings, while seeking deadly accuracy in representing the golf architect’s design, and employing broad “poetic license” in portraying mood and feeling through atmospheric effects like, time of day, weather and sesason. He illustrated two books, “The Art of Golf Design” and “The Golden Age of Golf Design” for golf historian and author, Geoff Shackelford as well as many covers for books, magazines and periodicals.
