1870 Hand Colored Print Titled “Golf Match On Blackheath”

The first definitive evidence of club activity is a course presented by Henry Foot for a competition in 1766. This date would still make Royal Blackheath the oldest English golf club and the oldest golf club outside of Scotland. This great historical hand colored print titled, “Golf Match on Blackheath,” was illustrated by H. Harral from The Illustrated London News, dated March 26, 1870. This piece is framed.
